The Daewoo Lanos is a sub compact car that was produced and marketed by the Korean automaker, Daewoo Motors. The Daewoo Lanos was introduced in 1997 and was in production for five years till 2002. The current version of the Daewoo Lanos is called FSO Lanos and is assembled in parts of Ukraine. The Daewoo Lanos was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The other names used for the Daewoo Lanos are Chevrolet Lanos, Daewoo Sens, Doninvest Assol, FSO Lanos, ZAZ Lanos and the ZAZ Sens.
The Daewoo Lanos used different types of engines from the GM Family 1 D-TEC I4 engines ranging from 1.5 Litre (1549 cc) SOHC to 1.6 Litre (1598 cc) DOHC engine. The Daewoo Lanos was available in the S, SE, SX, and the SPORT version. The S was the base model and did not include many standard features; the SE was just a small step up from the S base model. The SX model used the CD, radio, and cassette player along with power window parts, power side mirror, and fog lights. The sport version used red/black leather seats, and a metallic silver dash trim.
