The Datsun 210 was redesigned in 1980 and the grille became flat and the headlights square. Featuring a cassette deck, air conditioning, and a rear wiper on the station wagon the top-of-the line 210 was called the 210SL in 1981.
The 210 was manufactured for four years and the last was produced in 1982. The 210 was replaced by the Nissan/Datsun Sentra and by 1983 Datsun stopped using a numeric name ending in "10".
