The Scion xA is a subcompact vehicle that was manufactured and marketed by Scion, a part of Tata Motor Corporation. The Scion xA was introduced in 2004 and was not a very successful model as it was manufactured for only two years till 2006. The Scion xA also used the name as Toyota ist-122A4. The parts of the Toyota xA were assembled at the plant in Toyota City, Japan. The Scion xA was followed by the Scion xD, that was considered the successor of the Scion xA.
The Scion xA used the FF layout; front engine model with front wheel drive or optional all wheel drive. The parts of the Scion xA used the 1.5 Liter 103 hp (77 KW) I4 1NZ-FE engine and was supported by the four speed automatic and the five speed manual transmission. The Toyota bB, Toyota Platz and the Toyota Vitz were considered as successful models of cars that were related to the Scion xA. The Scion xA was however very short lived as the model was produced for only two model years and the production of this subcompact car stopped in 2006.
