The Infiniti J30 is a rear wheel drive luxury car. The J30 was introduced and marketed by Infinity. The Infinity J30 was introduced on April 7, 1992 as a 1993 model to replace the M30. The Infinity J30 was a major competitor of the Lexus GS in the United States. Jerry Hirschberg, president of Nissan Design International (NDI) was the designer of Infinity J30. The Infinity J30 is the first mid size sedan from Infinity. The Infinity J30 used rounded styling; Infinity J30s were built in Tochigi, Tochigi, Japan
The car Infinity J30 ranges between the smaller G20 and the larger Q45. The Infinity J30 used the 3.0 Litre VG30DE V6 engine, that produced 210 hp and 192 lbft (260 Nm) of torque. The J30 used the Y32 Chassis parts that were also used by Nissan Cedric/Glori. The production of Infinity J30 ended on June 18, 1997 and was replaced by the Infiniti I30 (introduced in 1996).
