The Mercury Marauder is a full size vehicle that was manufactured and marketed by the Mercury part of the Ford Motor Company. The Mercury Marauder used the Ford Panther platform and the LR layout. The Mercury Marauder was built in three generations and the first generation was introduced in 1963 and was for two years till 1965. The second generation of the Mercury Marauder was introduced in 1969 and was produced for only one year. The third generation of the Mercury Marauder was introduced in 2003 and was produced for only one year, till 2004.
The Mercury Marauder was available as a two door hardtop and four door sedan version. The second generation of the Mercury Marauder used the 360 hp (268 kW) 429 in³ engine V8 engine and the 390 in³ engine V8 engine. The third generation of the Mercury Marauder used the 4.6 Litre Modular DOHC V8 engine. The transmissions options that were used are the four speed 4R75W automatic and the four speed 4R70W automatic transmission. The models that can be considered as similar to the Mercury Marauder are the Mercury Grand Marquis, Ford Crown Victoria and the Lincoln Town Car.
